Kenny Rogers & The First Edition - Anthology

kenny_rogers_anthology.jpg I would expect this to strike some chords with Kenny Rogers fans. Although his older stuff with First Edition is getting more common, here is an opportunity to get a look at where Rogers is coming from. Lacking the orchestra of some of his later work, these songs reveal the raw power of his voice and his love for sharing it. Essential album for Rogers fans and extremely useful for people who want to check him out for the first time.

Tracks:

1. Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town

2. Something's Burning

5. But You Know I Love You

6. Reuben Jones

7. Love Woman

8. Tell It All Brother

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
