Video Shown To Third-Graders During Civics Lesson

Teacher's Quickly Removed Adult Video From VCR

November 4, 2004

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- Officials at a North Texas school say an Election Day civics lesson for some third-graders inadvertently included a sexually explicit videotape.

Some students at Johnson Elementary School in Southlake saw the video as they were leaving an auditorium Tuesday. School district officials said teachers had removed an unmarked tape from a video player and played a lesson on the three branches of government.

The video player hadn't been used since last month, when vandals broke into the school.

This provides a possibility but an obvious question still stands.

How they hell did the video end up in the school and in the VCR used by the faculty to teach students no less?

Someone is in deep shit, or at the very least, in for some embarrassing questions.

Think about it, this isn't someone's home VCR, its school property.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
