Karaoke's Here To Stay

It started in Japan back in '71
We all knew it was gonna be fun
Attracted millions of wannabes
Got to admit, one of them's me

Elvis and The Beatles rolled into one
I like singing ABBA's "Dancing Queen"
I even do some Shania Twain
Let's take a ride on the "Pontoon"

Karaoke's Here To Stay
It's never gonna fade away
It's a great way to let off steam
A great way to live your dream

We know now this ain't no fad
Some songs are happy, others are sad
Sing your favorites either way
Karaoke's Here To Stay

Three nights a week I'm at 151
Make my way into The Beaver
I can't wait to get on the stage
I've got karaoke fever

I'm not that good of a singer
Sometimes the worst one in the bar
It don't matter, they all clap
Everyone nowadays is a star

Karaoke's Here To Stay
It's never gonna fade away
It's a great way to let off steam
A great way to live your dream

We know now this ain't no fad
Some songs are happy, others are sad
Sing your favorites either way
Karaoke's Here To Stay

Cheap entertainment, get the most
Be sure and tip the host

Chorus

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
