fazeaction.jpgFaze Action is the recording name of brothers Simon and Robin Lee. Their sound has disco as its foundation but also draws heavily on Latin, jazz, African music, funk and, notably, classical elements. Faze Action have developed a live dimension to their music, appearing as a six-piece band on BBC television and at numerous clubs and festivals including Homelands and superclub Cream's Creamfields in 1998 and 1999. Like Groove Armada, Faze Action are sophisticated musicians: reverential to their disco heritage but unafraid to find inspiration in any interesting musical forms.

Similar groups: Groove Armada, Freak Power

Tracks you should listen: Moving Cities, In the Trees, There's No time

Their new album "Broad Souls"

was released this June. Make sure you listen to it.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
