Announcing Verboten StageONE, a new summer event series that distills the best parts of a festival setting into a single outdoor stage on Brooklyn's Williamsburg waterfront. StageONE will feature world class DJs, a massive sound & visual installation, food vendors, games, and an amazing waterfront location.

The series kicks off July 4th with Never Say Never and the Verboten NY debut of SASHA, playing alongside Supplement Facts / Wisdom of the Glove boss GUY GERBER and MAYA JANE COLES, supporting her debut album. They are joined by Verboten & Circoloco resident DAVIDE SQUILLACE and New York / Berlin underground troublemaker BILL PATRICK for a non-stop day of music. Tickets on sale now, with more editions to be announced soon.

We continue the July 4th madness with an official StageONE Afterparty at Highline Ballroom, with bonus sets from big guns SASHA, GUY GERBER, MAYA JANE COLES, DAVIDE SQUILLACE, and an opening set by Eric Carson.

If you don't want the day's festivities to end, or couldn't make the day time event, grab a ticket now for this epic carry-on.. As usual, we'll be bringing in extra sound & video, and enjoying Highline's recent upgraded air conditioning.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
