Wednesday, 29 September, 2004

Coming 8th October, Soprano Maria Muscat, stage named La Barokka is going to give another unique Modern Classical Concert, this time even more versatile, in Portomaso Suite at the Hilton, St.Julians.

Maria's concert is going to be a unique special night, featuring some of the best local and foreign artists, with flamenco dancers, pop and classical singers, and musicians.

La Barokka is another concert in a class on it's own, where Soprano Maria is going to perform some of the most beautiful opera pieces, modern and Gospel singing.

La Barokka is a concert where Maria is going to perform from Opera Tosca, music usually sung by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, like Time to Say Goodbye and Miserere, and also original music recently released by the soprano herself.

This year Maria has been busy in releasing new songs, composed by Elton Zarb of Freetime Studios, and written by herself. The last song released was a unique blend of Classical and RnB music, featuring RnB local artist, Jon Mallia. This RnB and Classical song called ?YOU' is also to be peformed in this Barokka Concert.

In this concert Maria is also going to feature Flamenco Dancers, dancing also for the aria ?Habanera' from the opera Carmen. To add more colour to her concert, Maria is also having African dancers, dancing to the jungle beats with a blend of classical singing.

La Barokka is also going to feature Gospel Songs and a Gospel Choir, performing the famous Amazing Grace, sung with a heartfelt spiritual expression.

Maria promises that this is going to be a unique night of Beauty, Passion, and Emotion. The aim is to be able to reach out to anyone who is ready to open his heart for the Beauty of Music.

La Barokka Concert is going to be held in Portomaso Suite, Hilton, 8th October, at 8.00pm. Tickets at Lm5 can be acquired from Hilton Hotel, even before the concert. After the concert, those attending are invited for a reception given by the Soprano, also giving opportunity to the audience to meet in person, the local and foreign artists taking part in this unique concert.
