Jesus & The Boys

I ain't saying Jesus was gay
Elton John's the one who said that
Maybe it takes one to know one
Maybe same sex was where it was at

Jesus told Peter, "You're my rock!"
Made Simon and Andrew "fishers of men"
He led those boys out of their closet
Took them where they'd never been

Jesus & The Boys
Eating supper together
Praying in a circle
Talking about forever

Jesus & The Boys
Had some wild times
Hanging at the Y
Drinking wine

John was the disciple Jesus loved most
The one who leaned against his breast
Judas got jealous, planted his kiss
Smoochie smoochie, you know the rest

I ain't saying Jesus was gay
I'd never imply that kind of thing
But it does seem just a bit odd
There were no women in that ring

Jesus & The Boys
Eating supper together
Praying in a circle
Talking about forever

Jesus & The Boys
Had some wild times
Hanging at the Y
Drinking wine

Even Magdalene couldn't turn Jesus' head
Even she couldn't get him in bed

Solo
Chorus

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
