Acclaimed singer, songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist Jim Peterik received cheers from lots of Chinese fans at Changjiang International Music Festival in China, a fantastic music fest for China. He picked 4 tracks from his new jazz deluxe edition CD, Forces At Play, and the whole audience went crazy. The last minute of his play was full of the sound “zailaiyishou”- the encore in Chinese. After his performance, Jim Peterik was bombarded with fans asking for autographed photos.

Jim Peterik has written eighteen Top 10 hits, and three of those songs, “Vehicle,” “The Search Is Over,” and the Grammy (C) award winning “Eye Of the Tiger” (theme from Rocky III), made it all the way to No. 1. Peterik is also responsible for many of the hits of .38 Special, including “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You,” and “Rockin’ Into the Night.” His songs have been featured worldwide in countless movies, television shows, sporting events and commercials.

The stellar 31 top Jazz and Pop contributors joining Peterik on the record now include: Buddy Guy (on the Grammy award winning track “Vehicle” included from an earlier time while Jim was a part of “Ides Of March”) and new Lifeforce tracks contributors: Steve Oliver; Jeff Carlisi (.38 Special), Mindi Abair (American Idol); Greg Carmichael and Miles Gilderdale (Acoustic Alchemy); Blake Aaron, Jessy J, Marzette Griffith, Lisa McClowry, Sijay, David Pack, Steve Eisen, Steve Cole, Chieli Minucci, Nick Colionne, Mike Cichowicz, Alex Ligertwood (Santana); Ariel Engelbert, Christian Cullen, Ed Breckenfeld, Jeff Lantz, Khari Parker, Klem Hayes, Larry Gray, Mike Aquino, Richie Davis, The Ides of March Brass, Thom Griffin, Tim Bales and Zoey Engelbert each bringing their own unique style to the superstar group.
