A few days ago, Queen of Pop, Madonna, paid a short visit at the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London. She was entertained by a girl who sang an impromptu song for her. It was this year's Maltese Eurovision entry "On Again...Off Again!".

Madonna's daughter Lourdes read from her mother's latest children's book, Yakov and the Seven Thieves, at its official launch at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital on 25 August. Lola read to a captivated audience of young patients and staff in the Hospital's school, before she joined her mother for a visit to several wards. It was then that a girl jumped up from the audience and started singing "On Again...Off Again" for them.

"On Again...Off Again!" was performed by Julie & Ludwig and represented Malta at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. It reached the finals and ended 12th.

Music-wise it is not very imp, but it provides good opportunities for the country(promotion) and might provide record contracts to some artists.

People view it because they have a good laugh, and because you are supporting your country.

Besides the obvious fact that countries all vote for their neighbours.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
