Famous Somewhere

Recommended Posts

Nobody knows me from Adam
That's what I've been told
Since back in the first grade
When I was 6 years old

I'm sick of being nobody
It's too much to bear
I'm tired of being faceless
I must be Famous Somewhere

I must be Famous Somewhere
I'm going to Asia
I'll try Indonesia
Somewhere in Bolivia

I must be Famous Somewhere
I'm going to the Yukon
I'll try Sweden
Somewhere in the Ukraine

No one gives me the time of day
They won't buy me a beer
Ain't been kissed in a coon's age
Haven't had a date in years

I'm sick of being John Doe
Just someone in the crowd
Such a drag that I'm unknown
Gonna scream my name out loud

I must be Famous Somewhere
I'm going to China
I'll try Australia
Somewhere in Chile

I must be Famous Somewhere
I'm going to Iceland
I'll try Tahiti
Somewhere in Greenland

Bridge..
It's all about being famous and rich
Not being a number, anonymous
Got to be somebody who gives a damn
Got to be somebody knows who I am

First chorus

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
