Home Of The Beast

The Democrats will fool you
The Republicans will too
Jesus was a bastard
But the devil was too
It's like somebody said
In 1968
Ain't a damn bit of difference
Between love and hate

It's not the land of the free
Home of the brave
It's just a fallacy
No one's really safe
It's not the land of the free
Home of the brave
It's the Home Of The Beast
Nothing can be saved

The courts have got the power
To put you on the rack
Throw your ass in jail
If you should answer back
The Constitution's dead
People are running wild
Our cities are a nightmare
Think about your child!

It's not the land of the free
Home of the brave
It's just a fallacy
No one's really safe
It's not the land of the free
Home of the brave
It's the Home Of The Beast
Nothing can be saved

Everywhere you look there's a beggar on the street
Everywhere you look someone's selling dope
Everytime you turn around there's another war
There's no hope!

solo

Chorus

Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
