Sweet Dancer

Recommended Posts

She grew up on a farm in Crestwood, Kentucky
Away from all harm, she was just born lucky
When she was at school, all the boys idolized her
Now she's 21, and she's a hypnotizer

Sweet Dancer, romancer
The answer to every cowboy's dream
Sweet Dancer, sweet prancer
Every inch a country queen

All through the week, she works in the general store
Selling feed to the farmers who line up outside her door
She saves her money, she's gonna have it all someday
She's saving her honey for the husband who's gonna take her away

Sweet Dancer, romancer
The answer to every cowboy's dream
Sweet Dancer, sweet prancer
Every inch a country queen

She does her face and she fixes her hair
Boots and jeans are what she'll wear
Puts some gas in her Nissan truck
Fill 'er up!

solo

Saturday night, and she's going back for more
The Louisville lights and Coyote's dancing floor
Out on the floor, she thrills 'em once again
Dancing the two-step to Luke Bryan and Little Big Town

Sweet Dancer, romancer
The answer to every cowboy's dream
Sweet Dancer, sweet prancer
Every inch a country queen

Sweet Dancer, romancer
The answer to every cowboy's dream
Sweet dancer, sweet prancer
Every inch a country queen

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
