It’s not often you get treated to some of the best Jazz musicians in America, all at once but Jim Peterik’s (Eye of the Tiger, Vehicle) band LIFEFORCE does just that! Dubbed Smooth Jazz that Rocks, Lifeforce’s superstar line up includes: Mindi Abair (American Idol), Greg Carmichael and Miles Gilderdale (Acoustic Alchemy), Alex Ligertwood (Lead Singer of Santana), Jeff Carlisi (.38 Special), Blake Aaron, Jessy J, Steve Oliver, Marzette Griffith, Lisa McClowry, Sijay, David Pack, Steve Eisen, Steve Cole, Chieli Minucci, Nick Colionne and Mike Cichowicz.

Grammy winning singer, songwriter and guitar/keyboardist, Jim Peterik was the founding member of both Survivor and The Ides Of March. He has been responsible for eighteen Top 10 hits, three of which, “Vehicle,” “The Search Is Over,” and the Grammy¨ winning “Eye Of the Tiger” (theme from Rocky III), made it all the way to No. 1. Peterik is also responsible for many of the hits of .38 Special, such as “Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up In You,” and “Rockin’ Into the Night.” His songs have been featured worldwide in countless movies, television shows, sporting events and commercials.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
