Help with music for a 10-13yr kids old party!

OK - it is the last day of summer playscheme tomorrow, so we are throwing a party. The girls and the younger kids are spoken for with the likes of Busted and McFly, but some of the older kids need music aswell. My only rule - no swearing!

I know for sure they like Linkin Park, everything else they like has swearing. So I need to do a CD of reasonable music for them:

I miss you - Blink 182

The Reason - Hoobastank

Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes

In The Shadows - The Rasmus

Perfect - Simple Plan

Here Without You - 3 Doors Down

Matinee - Franz Ferdinand

Four to the Floor - Starsailor

This Love + Harder to Breath - Maroon 5

Bad Day - Feul

Hey Ya - Outcast

Numb + In the End - Linkin Park

What else?

They like Eminem + D12, but other than that have said nothing about R+B or Rap.

I'm probably posting this too late, as I don't have long!

I don't have a clue. You could ask Michael Jackson for suggestions as to what the boys will like. You could as Jippers for recommendations for the girls. The 12-13 yr group may be a little too old for both of them. :wha':

Thanks Amber - but I should have been clearer when the cut-off was! Sorry hehe.

I added some Mayer as the Dude suggested, plus The Darkness - I believe in a thing called love. For the girls I put Jojo and gave up and put McFly. That all went down well. I also put They Might Be Giants - Boss of Me, but they made their feelings clear on that. Strange, I thought it would be a winner.

Otherwise it all went well :D Loads of food and stuff. Strange, after them driving me up the wall for 5 weeks, I'm kinda going to miss them.

As for D12 - they will mostly be singing along! Loads know Limp Bizkit's Chocolate Starfish CD. It was funny them trying to get me to play it. Another was tellin me he had seen SouthPark the Movie, and started to sing - #Shut your..NOOOOOOOO!

Perhaps not on the Michael Jackson Front. Some of the things the kids say are really funny. The best was last year. We were walking down to the lake:

Kid1: My dad is a fireman

Kid2: Well my dad flies a jet (we have a base near us)

Kid3: MY DAD HAS A HAIRY WILLY!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
