Audio Xtract Software Records Streaming Internet Radio Stations, Converts Files to Separate Songs With Artist and Title

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Millions of Americans have abandoned peer-to-peer music sharing in the past year, since the initiation of a series of lawsuits filed by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) against individuals suspected of copyright infringement. In fact, a survey conducted by the Pew Internet & American Life Project indicates that over fifty percent of former downloaders have abandoned the practice. Now, many of those young music aficionados - especially students - are turning to Audio Xtract, the Internet radio recording software that works like a VCR or TiVo for streaming music.

Jambalaya Brands, a St. Louis-based software marketing firm, today introduced Audio Xtract Professional Edition - an enhanced version of the now popular Internet radio recording software that has sold throughout the United States and in over 20 countries around the world. Audio Xtract Pro is geared toward Internet music lovers who want even greater flexibility to rip, mix, edit and convert all their music files.

"Students in particular have been looking for a way to `time shift' the great music now available on Internet radio. With Audio Xtract, they can record now and listen later, wherever their busy lives take them," said Gene Schenberg, Vice President of Business & Customer Development. "And because Audio Xtract lets you record up to 8 stations at once, you can literally fill your MP3 player with new music in a matter of hours, with no per-song fees."

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
