Hey all check out this band I discovered. They are called The Audiopocracy. They are from Cleveland Ohio I believe. Can someone please define Emo for me? Thanks! :groovin: It's kind of cool sounding actually.

I find myself asking the same question, and i'm sure many know the answer, but assume everyone already knows....

What DOES "emo" mean? I'm guessing "emotional" or something or that nature, but if that's true, the definition makes no sense, seeing as how 99.9% of music produced contains some emotions or emotional thought behind it. It's a driving force for music.

I think you may be on to something there Ken. You make a very valid point why would they call it EMO if it has to do with Emotions. Maybe it describes the music's intense nature. Anyone give it a listen yet? What do you think? Does music of this nature have a place today in the Music-Entertainment Industry?

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
