Ok, has anyone here heard of a young aussie band called poderfinger? They rule!!! Last year they released a rocking album called vulture street, it was very popular and very good just like their other albums. What do you think?

ok, try Powderfinger.com, I havn't checked out the site yet cause I don't have flash player on this computer and I'm not gonna install it now, but go to the recent releases (or whatever it is called) and if there is the vulture street album, that is it.

They had this song that was played a bunch here a few years back.... I don't remember what it was, but they also had a song that was on the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack... can't remember the name of that either. Both songs are on their album, Odyssey No. 5. However they spelled it. I was actually listening to that CD yesterday. However, I prefer Internationalist. One of their songs has been in my head since I listened to the CD.... "come and rescue me.....".... okay, just that one line.

I made this friend a few years back from Australia, and I sent her an international money order and she sent me all their CDs.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
