Beatle Paul McCartney celebrated the 40th anniversary of the film "A Hard Day's Night" at a private screening Tuesday.

The feature was released internationally this week on DVD, with additional rare footage of the foursome.

McCartney enjoyed the black-and-white film tribute to 1960s Beatlemania with his wife, Heather, 36.

"Heather has never seen it full-length. We have just seen bits and pieces," he said.

McCartney, 62, admitted he hadn't seen the film himself since its 1964 release.

The film still holds up today... It was really innovative for its time...each cut/segment plays like a modern music video, and it probably was the instigator of the genre, moreso than Elvis, because if its cinematic techniques

don't you just hate when radio stations that played oldies when you were younger had tracks from the 50's, now they play 70's, geez, scary, but one redeeming feature is the quality of the music. I like alot of new artists but nothing seems to compare to the innovative and classic sounds, musicianship,of the 70's.

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
