Doo-Wop Rock & Roll Flashback Raises Awareness & Funds for Training California Firefighters, Features Onfile.com Emergency Medical Records

Canyon Club in Agoura Hills to Host Event, Tickets Available Now

LOS ANGELES, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Firefighters from around the state and local Los Angeles and Ventura County residents will gather Saturday, July 10th in Agoura Hills to honor local heroes of the October 2003 wildfires at a special Doo-Wop Concert featuring The Penguins, Marvelettes, Crew Cuts, Mighty Echoes and the New Chordettes.

Firefighters from California fire agencies who responded to the needs of wildfires in the area will be honored, along with those who respond to everyday emergencies, including Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who respond to over 90 percent of 911 calls placed to fire departments. The event benefits the non-profit California State Firefighters Association (CSFA).

"We want to honor the heroes that saved lives, pets and property in last fall's wildfires. We also want to remind people to be prepared for potential wildfires and medical emergencies by registering for AmeriFile's onfile™ Card, free to those donating $20 or more to CSFA. This card gives emergency response personnel and doctors instant access to vital medical records in emergency situations. It's a proven lifesaver," said Joel Rayden, president & CEO of AmeriFile, based in Ventura, Calif.

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
