Here's your official invitation to join Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Royce da 5'9", Joell Ortiz and Crooked I), Twista and "Mob Wives" star Renee Graziano on Wednesday's episode of "RapFix Live."It's been over a year in the making, but on Tuesday, Slaughterhouse are dropping their Shady Records debut Welcome to: Our House. The next day, Eminem's band of lyrical assassins will be hitting up the "RapFix Live" couch to chop it up with the show's show's host, Sway Calloway.

SH first made headlines in 2008, when the four soloists banded together to form a rap supergroup. The next year, they released their self-titled debut album independently, and then at the top of 2011, it was announced that the fearsome foursome were signed to Eminem's Shady Records. Ever since the signing, fans wondered how the pairing would pan out, especially under the guidance of Eminem, who has built his entire multiplatinum career at the top of hip-hop's verbal food chain.

"I think all of us have been around long enough and are humble enough to know the appropriate time to be a sponge, and this entire process, all of us have done nothing but that, as well as sponging off each other," Joe Budden told MTV News of Em's influence on Welcome to: Our House."So for me, it's been a learning process throughout the entire time, and I can say the same thing for these brothers because I hear it in their music as well. We're just blessed."

As a team, Slaughterhouse can potentially go down as the greatest group of MCs ever assembled. "I just want to say I feel like these guys right here are some of the best rappers I've ever heard rapping, ever," Crooked I told MTV News of Budden, Royce and Joell. "I'm a student of hip-hop — since Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS-One, I've been a student, and to hear these guys rap, to me, these are some of the best rappers I've ever heard in my life."

Catch Slaughterhouse on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on "RapFix Live," on RapFix.MTV.Com and be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Send your questions for the artists @MTVRapFix!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
