'Artist' Star Jean Dujardin Joins Scorsese's 'Wolf Of Wall Street'

Each casting announcement for "[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/501318/moviemain.jhtml"]The Wolf of Wall Street[/url]," [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/97888/personmain.jhtml"]Martin Scorsese[/url]'s follow-up to last year's "Hugo," adds prestige to the film and heightens our anticipation. The latest cast member to join the film is this year's Academy Award winner for Best Actor, [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/322891/personmain.jhtml"]Jean Dujardin[/url].

[url="http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118055499"][i]Variety[/i][/url] is reporting that Dujardin is in talks to star opposite [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/16710/personmain.jhtml"]Leonardo DiCaprio[/url], who plays the lead character Jordan Belfort. The film is based on Belfort's memoir, which chronicles his meteoric rise as a trader on Wall Street and his subsequent drug-addled fall. Dujardin will play "a suave Swiss banker involved in laundering illicit funds for the protag's firm."

The film will be the fifth collaboration between DiCaprio and Scorsese, who last worked together on 2010's "Shutter Island." DiCaprio and Dujardin will be joined on screen by [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/379429/personmain.jhtml"]Jonah Hill[/url] and [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/10885/personmain.jhtml"]Kyle Chandler[/url], both of whom are experiencing a recent surge in dramatic credibility.

Hill made a massive step toward a serious crossover last year with his Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in "Moneyball." Chandler won an Emmy last year for Best Actor in a Drama for playing Coach Eric Taylor on "Friday Night Lights" and being awesome just in general.

Filming with begin this coming August in New York City. The film is expected to be released sometime next year.
