Soundcrash presents a rare live outing for Warp Records’ most confounding artist.

Fresh from releasing the mini-LP MU.ZZ.LE Sumach Ecks, aka Gonjasufi, is back with his band of miscreant beat-makers to deliver another bewildering dose of psychedelic anthems aimed squarely at the soul. Sounding like nothing you’ve heard before, Gonjasufi’s idiosyncratic and heart-felt growls, usually heard nestled precariously on a bed of astral beats produced by LA’s finest, come vividly to life on stage accompanied by two djs, live keyboards and electronics and capped with Gonajsufi’s transcending presence.

One not to miss.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
