Exclusive 'Underworld: Awakening' Featurette Explores Selene's 'Aggressive Behavior'

"[url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/440558/moviemain.jhtml"]Underworld: Awakening[/url]" marked the return of [url="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/4374/personmain.jhtml"]Kate Beckinsale[/url] to her lead role as Selena, the vampiric Death Dealer from the hit action-horror series.

The fourth film in the series hits Blu-ray and DVD today, so in honor of the release, we have an exclusive look at a featurette from the disk.

In the clip, Beckinsale explains why making a woman-centric action film isn't as simple as it may seem. "It's hard to do an action movie with a woman in the lead because you can't just flip it like it's a guy," she said. "The fact that she's a woman is significant, and I think that's what's great about this movie is that she does become a mother."

"Underworld: Awakening" is available on DVD, Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray now.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
