Jewel's nervous breakdown

Recommended Posts

jewel.jpgConcert-goers who attended jewel's second show at the Hampton Beach Ballroom Casino says she put on her worst show ever. People who saw it said the singer resorted to insulting the spectators and pointing out which ones were fat and who had no teeth.

One spectator said Jewel gave a ten minute talk on Zoloft and Paxil during the show. One spectator: "I don't know if she was having a nervous breakdown or what. She told everyone to stop looking at her teeth and look at her breasts." Also, she "saw a better audience at a barroom brawl and that all drinkers and smokers were sinners." Many walked out at the beginning. She played only about 4-5 songs in an hour.

The company hosting the event denies that it got any negative feedback.

News certainly travels fast. I heard about this at lunch today - apparently she has gone from selling millions of albums to playing in casinos. Obviously the fame has gone to her head. It's a shame. :(

Well, I have a feeling about what may have happened.

Jewel had actual musicianship. She could write and play guitar. She used to be an actual artist, who didn't visually whore herself out like Britney Spears, and other clones.

After a long while between albums however, she "reemerged" with a "new look", and new music, which featured her as a Britney wannabe, complete with shallow, no talent songs and cleavage as a selling point.

I'm guessing she's now paying for it in her own mind, which may in fact have a little self-worth left.

I bet she did have a nervous breakdown. It was her mind telling her she fucked up, big time.

Side note: It is interesting though, that she still does her old songs as well as her new bullshit. I think we have a clash of interest here.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
