It must be Nicki, ‘cause Roman don’t shake like that. On Friday night Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz took it to the strip club and debuted her new “Beez in the Trap” video on Vevo.

There are no shortage of B’s in the Benny Boom-directed clip. Booty, boobs and Barbs were all Nicki needed for her second visual off of her recently released Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded LP. Things start off artsy with a shot of Ms. Minaj perched on a barb-wired pedestal, dressed in a pink leotard, but then Nicki and her YMCMB entourage quickly move the party to the ta-ta bar and that’s where the real fun begins.

The Female Weezy looks as sexy as ever (pause), wearing a greenish-blue two piece bikini and matching green wig as she gazes into the camera counting a stack of hundreds. The Harajuku Barbie does a good job of surrounding herself with lots of video eye candy, but she is clearly the star of her own show.

As “Beez” rolls into 2 Chainz’s verse, the reigning rap queen goes through yet another wardrobe change, a skin-tight, leopard print cat-suit. 2 Chainz diddy bops across the screen spitting his stand-out 16 while Nicki shows off her assets, shaking her rump for the camera. It is quite the sight.

Whether you’re a fan of the mixtape Nicki, prefer her more pop-friendly hits or are in love with the total package, with “Beez in the Trap” the Young Money star proves that she is comfortable in whatever creative lane she chooses-- and that she can twerk it with the best of them.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
