Drake Fires Back At 'Marvin's Room' Allegations In Court

Drake is firing back at Erica Lee, the woman suing him over royalties for using her voice in his song, "Marvin's Room." According to TMZ Drizzy filed his response last week, stating that he never promised her any money and that "she consented to the use of her voice in the song 'Marvin’s Room' for no compensation." Adding insult to injury, the Toronto rapper also says the two never had a romantic relationship (despite Lee's claims that they dated) and further, he never threatened her over her complaints about getting paid for the emo number.

Drake Denies Allegations In 'Marvin's Room' Lawsuit

Last month, Lee aired her grievances, suing for compensation, co-writing royalties as well as damages. Lee filed the lawsuit on Feb. 2 in a California federal court claiming she had a romantic and business relationship with Drake between 2010 and 2011 and during that time, they openly discussed collaborative projects and song lyrics. Lee claimed that Drake agreed to work with her on "Marvin's Room" and evenly divide the proceeds. Lee says Drake purportedly acknowledged her contributions via text messages such as "U basically made that song" and "It's s--t without you."

A judge has yet to rule on the matter.
