Nicki Minaj was on location in Hawaii this week to film the video for her new dance pop single "Starships," and after an initial photo leak, more revealing snapshots of Nicki has emerged from the video set. The new shot shows the Young Money rapper sporting a pink bikini, but unlike the first pictures this full frontal shot is a bit more revealing.

The top 5 Hottest MC finalist dropped her RedOne-produced single on Valentine's Day, and while the pop track doesn't show off much of Nicki's lyrical prowess, it has clearly resonated with music fans — it is currently sitting at #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

During an interview after her 2012 NBA All-Star Game performance in February, Nicki told MTV News that though she began as a rap artist, she is completely comfortable with her hold on popular music these days. "I guess I am pop culture just because what I'm doing seems to be popular. When people want to do what you're doing, it's kinda popular," she said. "I don't ask girls to wear pink hair; they just do it. It's not about black or white; I think it's just a statement. It doesn't matter which color you are; it's just a statement of being fearless."

She also predicted big things for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. "April 3 is gonna be a doozy. It's gonna be crazy," Nicki said of her album release date. "It's gonna be important for just hip-hop culture and pop culture. It's gonna be very big."

Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
