Mogul Jay-Z hopped straight on a plane back to NY from his much hyped SXSW performance to support his devoted friend and celebrity stylist, June Ambrose. Hov displayed his loyalty to Ambrose by attending the screening of her new VH1 series “Styled by June.”

Both June and Mr. Carter were dressed dapperly at the event housed at NYC’s Crosby Hotel. Jay sported a black tailored suit while June made a statement in a colorful silk ensemble. When asked about her fashion history with Jay-Z, June reflected on her first time working with the Brooklyn don.

“The first suit I bought Jay-Z was an Armani suit because the shoulders were soft" June told reporters. "It was a European cut, it was very relaxed. We slowly graduated him into that executive seat that he was eventually going to sit in. He was an executive on the streets. I was just bringing him into the boardroom.”

Jay-Z is just the tip of the long list of celebrity clients styled by June. Ambrose has been in the game for 20 years and is responsible for the looks of some of the biggest stars including Mariah Carey, Diddy, and Mary J. Blige. June described the show simply stating "You’re in my ‘Juniverse,’ yes, but in that ‘Juniverse,’ I take you through the process. I have this very strategic process that I take with each client every week”.

Watch June work her magic on actress Mischa Barton on the premiere episode on VH1.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
