'21 Jump Street' Extended Red Band Clip Is 'Extremely Vivid'

Recommended Posts

We have an extended red-band look at "21 Jump Street," and over the course of the five minute clip, you'll get a pretty good idea of what the world's worst undercover cops are like. Take a look below, but warning: not safe for work material here.

In the film, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play two reject officers who are recruited to go undercover at a local high school to bring down a drug ring. Unfortunately, for the two police officers, you just don't go undercover at a local high school. There are cliques and bullies and social pressures to deal with that the cops don't handle particularly well.

Needless to say, things get a little out of control. Rob Riggle's head turns into an ice cream cone. Jonah Hill gets stabbed, and Channing Tatum turns into a nerd.

Preview audiences have been raving about "21 Jump Street" for the past few weeks, so if you're looking for a better idea of what they're talking about, the extended sneak peek should give you some of that and more.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
