D’Angelo back? On Thursday the R&B/soul singer performed his first show in over a decade when he rocked in Stockholm, Sweden to kick off his current European tour. Fans all across the world got to enjoy a bit of the performance as footage quickly appeared on YouTube yesterday. The “Brown Sugar” singer was all smiles as he rocked “Chicken Grease” from his 2000 sophomore album Voodoo.

The critically-acclaimed Voodoo was released 12 years ago this month, it was the last solo album he released. Over the past ten years D’Angelo has battled a number of legal and drug issues and has dropped out of the spotlight only to reemerge with drama from time to time. In recent years industry insiders have been a buzz about a third D’Aneglo comeback album, though not much is known about the release.

Whatever the case, the neo-soul singer did resemble the D’Aneglo of old in the footage of his Stockholm concert. He wore black pants, a black tank top and a black scarf around his neck. He bounced back and forth on stage engaging with fans. RapFix couldn’t be there, but judging from the crowd reaction fans seemed to have a great time.

Welcome back, it’s been a long time.

Do you believe D’Angelo can make a comeback? Tell is in the comments!

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
