yay congratulations, bombardier.

forgot to say i'm so jealous; although i can send mail/post, right now my machine is totally fucked and i can't download anything but it's just a matter of time till i'm on a Mac.

I have always been a big fan of Macintosh.

I guess Apple really knew what it was doing by putting Macintosh computers in my schools as I was growing up. I was raised using Macintosh as one of my very first computers and used them all through grade, middle, and through high school.

That's at least 12 years of Macintosh use before I was even 19. :)

last night i found out that my BF's ordered me a new mac and will collect it in Illinois when he goes in june, then bring it back to england, yay! i'm really thrilled here thinking about this...i can actually see a future where i don't stare into the BSOD and curse bill gates 20+ times every day. :lol:

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
