(Kimbella talks fight with Chrissy Lampkin)

By Nadeska Alexis

On the season premiere of Love & Hip-Hop, the fight between Chrissy Lampkin and Kimbella Vanderhee was triggered by an ill-timed revelation. But even before that showdown, one of Kimbella’s outfits proved to be a source of comedy for the crew. Juelz Santana’s girlfriend is initially introduced to the returning cast members at Yandy Smith’s jewelry party, where she sports a revealing pair of denim shorts that Chrissy immediately dubs, “jean panties.” When MTV News caught up with Kimbella this week, she said that she wore those jean panties “very well.”

“I really didn’t care,” Kimbella says, of the snide remarks from the other girls. “I knew I looked good in it and that’s what I wanted to wear. I’m a grown ass woman, I can wear what I want. It wasn’t like I wore the outfit thinking, ‘Omg I know they’re gonna talk about this outfit so lemme wear this.’ I was comfortable in it and I feel like as a woman you can be sexy in anything.”

“I wore those shorts and I wore them very well, so I didn’t care,” she added. “I kinda laugh at the jokes because it’s funny to me. It doesn’t really bother me at all.”

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
