On Monday night (November 14), Common dropped the music video for “Sweet,” (via HipHopDx) the latest single from his upcoming ninth albumThe Dreamer, The Believer. The video was shot on location in Haiti, just after a devastating earthquake shook the country in January of 2010. Common encouraged fans to support the country’s rebuilding effort by watching the “Sweet” video premiere on UStream, for one dollar. Proceeds from the UStream event will benefit the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which was founded by Sean Penn.

The Dreamer, The Believer is Common’s first album since 2008’s Universal Mind Control. It is executive produced by No I.D. with feature from Nas, Maya Angelou and John Legend. No I.D. revealed the album’s official tracklist via Twitter this past weekend.
