R.I.A.A. Drops Amnesty Program

The RIAA's Amnesty program was just a scam anyways!!

It was a way for people to incrimiate themselves by admitting doing something the RIAA deems "illegal". Basically, a person who signed up for that program signed in writing that they engaged in copyright infringement.

That, in effect, now left them wide open to be sued by copyright holders.

The RIAA organization themselves don't actually hold the copyright to any songs, so the program was just bullcrap.

I gotta feel sorry for those who actually did sign up. Poor, uninformed people :(

"The RIAA added that the number of people stepping forward to participate in the program has slowed "to a trickle."

Well I am astonished that anyone would incrimanate themselves anyway. So now we are supposed to be more scared because their amnesty program stopped. It didn't have any effect on me before and it wont now.

RIAA :shootin:

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
