Australian Pink Floyd

Recommended Posts

Since we will probably never get to see or experience what a Pink Floyd concert was like again, (for those of you who have not - in a nutshell - probably the most extravagant and awesome live show(s) ever done.), I highly recommend that you see this tribute band if they come to your area. Their music is tight and, nearly to the note, exactly like Pink Floyd. The show is not nearly as spectacular but adequate. They came to Sacramento very recently and Two Deer and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Here's a link to their website:http://www.aussiefloyd.com/

It's got tour dates and lot's of other useful info. The prices were very reasonable.

Another thing I liked was the crowd was average my age (old!) lol. And yes there was this funny odor permeating the air (somethings never change) and after awhile we moved up to the front because evidently not a lot people had heard or knew about this truly awesome band.

If they come to your area - go see them. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I've never actually seen Aus Floyd myself but I know people who have and wouldn't miss their shows. So far I've only heard good reports about this band and I'm told if you close your eyes and listen you wouldn't know the difference. I find that a bit hard to believe though :)

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
