Thanks nukehella

BTW, Hunter or Janett What happened to Rasta? Besides DC, he's the person I associated with the site. If it's personal it's not my biz, but I wondered.

This site reminds me of the old MusicMagnet site which closed about a year ago.

At one time UniteTheCows closed down and merged its old forum, posts, and members into PCTechTalk. Was that a deal that the owner Unite got paid for? My memory of the circumstances involving that is vague and I don't understand what happened with that whole thing.

Unite was not paid for it, it was only done to try and save as much of the data as possible. The reasons why UTC was shut down i really dont feel comefortable discussing, as the reasons were Unites, and he is the one that should reply to any questions.

Also Rasta has moved on and centered his attention on UTC, and remains a very good friend.

You waited kinda late in life to have a first thought didn't you? I started thinking somewhere around age 14. I never did it very much though. It makes my head hurt. :psychofun:

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
