Screen Rant reports on what they're describing as a rumored plot for the long-anticipated "Arrested Development" movie, though whether it is the official plot remains to be seen (there should be an announcement within the next month to confirm this, the site reports). Though it's only a rumor right now, it's certainly a fun one.

According to the report, the movie follows the Bluth clan's attempts to make their own movie about their lives to compete with one narrator Ron Howard is working on. Based on Maeby's experience in the film industry, they might actually have a chance of pulling it off.

"Hit Somebody" To Be Two-Parter
Kevin Smith might be making "Hit Somebody" into his last directorial effort, but that doesn't mean it has to be one movie. /Film has learned that the "Red State" director is planning on splitting the hockey film into two parts, similar to what Quentin Tarantino did with "Kill Bill." Apparently the first half of the movie will be about the main character's childhood, and the second half would be about his venture into the NHL.

Production On "Snow White And The Huntsman" Continues
Despite the riots occurring in London, production on "Snow White and the Huntsman" has not stopped. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, and considering production only started last month, it's good news indeed. There previously had been some rumors that the riots had caused delays in filming, but that since has proven not to be the case.

More Tolkien Heads To The Big Screen
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that author Steve Hillard has signed a deal with EMO Films to develop a big screen adaptation of his J.R.R. Tolkien-centric novel "Mirkwood." "The adaptation of Mirkwood will follow the template of the novel," Hillard told THR, "but will delve considerably deeper into Tolkien's little-known back story, such as his original plans to become a codebreaker in World War II up through the writing of his enduring works."

"50/50" Trailer Hits The Web
A new trailer for Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen's dramedy "50/50" has been released. Despite the movie's dramatic context, this trailer plays up the comedic element of the story. It also gives the flick a chance to show off it's stellar cast, which includes Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anjelica Huston.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
