Roy Buchanan

I havent heard much of this guy though I've known about him for years. Anybody got any recommendations? The only thing I have by him is Live in Japan (1977).

I would get the first album, Roy Buchanan * Roy Buchanon. Best known as a blues/rock guitar player, who could play his axe like Paginini. Incidentally, he turned down the Rolling Stones when Mick Taylor left the band. In many ways, he's much like the authentic blues players: he played local clubs, didn;t care for the headline act stuff. Arguably, he was as good as Clapton, Ry Cooder, Jimmy Page, etc, in his heydey. That said, I sense his bst stuff hasnt been recorded...

I have a track on some old record called "After Hours". His guitar is very similar to Stevie Ray Vaugh. Very good
