Debbie Harry - Blondie

I don't care if the new album is good but I feel sick to see the former babe that made a difference in the 80s and taking woman-rock singers a step further, still perform and thinking that is still a babe and still thinking that she is special. Give it a rest Debbie! Don't destroy everything you made.

Look at Tina Turner and Cher. Some wines aren't better with age, some just get sour.

blondie concert tomorrow in Athens to promote the new album. NO i won't be there and i hardly miss any concerts

I'd like to see Blondie. I never got a chance to back in the day. Some artists are still good in the later years. I saw Jethro Tull this past August. They were every bit as good as they were in the 70's. Maybe better!! btw/ Debbie may not be such a babe anymore, but I'll bet she can still sing her ass off!!

i can find a ticket and get it for you but you'll go by yourself lol

anyway I don't mind artists performing forever but this woman (which I respected in the past) thinks that is still making a difference. I read an interview in a mag here and i thought to myself.. is she for real? She went on saying that this album is the best ever and that she is the best performer ever. damn!

I like the new songs that The Cure release here and there (they are from the 80s too as you all know) but atleast they never advertised their work this way. Also groups like jethro tull are more classic in a musicwise way. Blondie music was made for the 80s ONLY

I agree that a statement like that is a bit much. This is just an inflated ego speaking. But they might still be a viable band. btw/ I would love to see Greece!! I've heard it's awesome.

I read this thread with an open mind, thinking, yeah, so what is she is older, that doesnt mean she cant still perform. But then I read the interview tag line...give me a break...hang it up b^tch :)

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
