I first came across Imogen Heap doing some heavy breathing on a Jeff Beck album and decided to check what else she could do. This album is one I play from time to time .... but it's grown on me more lately...

Here's what Rolling Stone had to say about her at the time

Imogen Heap is an 18-year-old British singer-songwriter whose work is somewhat reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Joan Armatrading. Born in Essex, England, Heap grew up playing piano, clarinet and cello, and became interested in classical music and jazz as a teenager. Only at college did she begin to experiment with her own folk-rock material, performing in local clubs and recording a much-talked-about demo tape. That tape caught the attention of a European representative of Herb Alpert's Almo Sounds label, which later signed Heap and released her debut album, I Megaphone, in June 1998.

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
