News - Lord of the Dense and Malicious Intent

Lord Of the Dense will focus on domestic USA news in all areas, while Malicious Intent will focus on British and European news. Both have a wide range of knowledge and experience, and have contributed excellent work to several other sites...we're proud to have them chained to our newsdesk!

Music Forums - Umma and ASUMusicMan

ASUMusicMan and UMMA bring their music knowledge and know how in all music forums. Both have a wide range of knowledge and experience and have already contributed a great deal to the site. We've proud to have them cover both US and World influences...now if they only could sing a tune.

Filesharing News - Ken

Ken brings a breadth of filesharing knowledge to BK, and will insure that the site remains on the cutting edge. He has contributed excellent work to several other sites...and we're proud to have him here at Beatking.

Our Senior Mods

Mr. Jip and Kooperman will continue moderating all the forums with the administrators. Our hats off to them for their contributions respectively in building the electronica forums and for keeping the news fresh and up to date.

Congratulations to all of you and thanks for making our team effort an enjoyable one.

Now, I didn't write this, but I did save a copy when I went on a deleting rampage yesterday.

I noticed that both ASU & Umma, and MI & LOTD have the phrase "Both have a wide range of knowledge and experience". I thought of changing it, but what to use? I thought of putting "These guys don't suck for one, but it lacked the grace of the rest of the intros.

Congrats guys. I'm happy to see each of you in there.

That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
