I would a add a big caution on that list for sites that let you download mp3s but try to fool you into installing spyware.

The sites I have in mind are:

http://www.legacymp3.net

http://www.simplemp3s.com

http://www.crazymp3s.org

http://www.21-century-mp3.nu

Sites like these uses lies and deciet to try and make you install rogue activeX controls and spyware dialers/programs.

For example, when using IE you will be bombardiered with these

evil%20applet.jpg

and it will not accept no for an answer. It will display

Yes%20is%20NO.jpg

(which is a big lie)

and then keep popping up the window again and again and again. It will never go away. There is only one of these you need to click Yes on and that is a Java Applet box from company when you are ready to download"WakeNetAB"

I'm glad in XP SP2 there is an option to "always choose no" to applets such as that.

"File Sharing Center is surely one of the very best sites to download music, movies, players, and lots more. Its really worth being a member here. I love this site. "

Did filesharingcenter make up that testimonial or did one of the employees say that?

:rotfl:

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time to make a list like this, and it still sounds like a good idea.

It's the collective will of the entire P2P community, that wants those willing to tarnish P2P, to be revealed.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
