Eva Cassidy....genius gone too soon

I only discovered Eva Cassidy a few months ago and I'm astounded I never heard of her before that. The first time I heard her music I was floored that such a talent could have labored in anonymity. Her music didn't become popular until after her death at the age of 33. If you've never heard her, please give her a listen...do yourself a favor and sample the song "Wade In The Water"...you won't regret it:

Eva Cassidy is wonderful.... it's a shame that she died so young. Wade in the Water is a great track and I love her version of Songbird and Fields of Gold.

It's amazing what passes us by Koop, but life's full of nice little discoveries still waiting to be made.

She did a version of some song I can't think of now, but it is a very pretty song, she has a fabulous voice. I've heard other artists covering the same song, but her version is my favorite.

Ya I fell in love with her. Never would have discovered her if it weren't for this hippy chick :o

Glad I did though. Great singer with lots of soul.

I still have DVD compilation I made of the only video ever made.

I would be willing to torrent it ;)

There is as I recall a torrent of her discography with most of that video included.

You'll have to search I dont think its a good idea to post it here. :(

Peace.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
