Mike Colson is a revelation to the music industry. Whether in concert, song, writing, recording or just a simple conversation,Mike Colson seems to provoke reality in the people around him. Perhaps because he is so excruciatingly honest and unafraid to air his true feelings that a listener recognizes and awakens some of those same truths inside themselves. On Feb 9th 1976 Mike Colson entered the world, ready for the world. Mike was introduced to music by way of church. After being weighed down by the limitations of what he was hearing Mike decided to leap into the world of jazz at age 13.At this point so much became clear in Mikes life. Over the course of 5 years Mike redefined Gospel Jazz by releasing his first cd entitled "Great Expectations" in 1997.Soon thereafter Mike started to learn more about the music industry and encounter the woes of the industry. So Mike decided to take music and make it his best and only friend. Mike became music and sought out "BIGGER , BETTER SOUND" which was the motto of his company M.G. PRODUCTIONS.At this juncture Mike ventured out to Tallahassee FL where everything changed. Mike was put in positions to learn from the best and worked for the best. Here are some names of the wonderful people Mike Colson has worked for and with. Pretty Ricky,Blood Raw,Thrill Da Playa from the 69 boys,Truth,The Sega Boys,Wilderness Ent,So Phatt Records,Total Kaos,Lisa Walker,Ms Monique,Track Killaz,56ace Federation,Uncle Head from Splack Pack,D Cooley,Papa Duck,Dj Butch,Suave Smooth,Triple J,John Mosely,Anthony Talton,LaNorris and Proof. In the words of Mike Colson "Always Follow Your Heart"

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
