I'm not favoring anyone, but I think Philadelphia will be hard to stop. It's amazing though to see so many teams, in the relative immediate area from where I grew up, make it this far. FYI, the Redskins used to practice in my hometown, and Jim Thorpe went to my High School.

Steelers all the way! It's the only team I've ever really followed I guess.

Steeler's vs. Eagles would be an awesome game!

Hey!!! This means I owe someone a phone call....I was promised a chance at a ticket if the Steelers got to go....that'd be TITS!

Pittsburgh mayor to drop 'Ravens' from name

With AFC title game looming, Ravenstahl wants to be called Steelerstahl

PITTSBURGH - With his hometown team facing the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's AFC championship game, Pittsburgh mayor Luke Ravenstahl figures it would be a good idea to change his name, at least for a week.

Instead of Ravenstahl, he wants people to call him Luke "Steelerstahl".

"On behalf of the Steelers Nation, I've decided to remove the word 'Ravens' from my name just like the Steelers will remove them from the AFC Championship," he said.

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
