Recommended Posts

Britney Spears has cancelled her show in Chicago tonight after injuring her knee during last night's performance in Illinois.

A statement from Jive Records reads "Due to an unfortunate knee injury Britney Spears suffered towards the end of her show last night in Moline, IL., she will not be performing tonight at the Allstate Arena as scheduled."

Britney hurt her knee towards the end of the show in a dance routine for the song 'I Got That Boom Boom'. She was unable to continue and fans missed out on an encore.

Fans are asked to hang on to their tickets until further notice.

Spears Onyx Hotel Tour finishes in New Jersey on April 10. The six week European leg of the tour starts in London on April 27.

NEW YORK -- Britney Spears planned to resume her Onyx Hotel Tour Tuesday night in Atlanta, after missing two shows last week due to a knee injury.

Her performance was to take place at the Phillips Arena, Jive Records said Tuesday. She postponed shows in suburban Chicago and Detroit as a result of the injury to her knee that she sustained while performing in Moline, Ill.

The 22-year-old pop singer is in the midst of her tour, which runs through the summer.

She will perform April 13 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., and April 14 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Jive Records said all tickets for the original shows will be honored for the new dates or refundable at point of purchase.
