Hulu is an online video on demand service offering streaming video of TV shows and movies, primarily from NBC and FOX and their cable networks. You can expect the other studios and networks to climb on board soon. The site is just out of beta and is only open to viewers in the US - but that should change soon.

Quality is better than decent - a team of Chinese engineers put Hulu together and they knew what they are doing it. Here is a sample from the website:

Just wanted to say that Hulu is one of my top 5 favorite websites.

I am not very fond of sitting in front of a TV, but it is nice to be able to watch the occasional TV show on demand from anywhere with an internet connection.

PS-

My top 5

1. Gmail

2. Beatking

3. Lifehacker

4. Hulu

5. Popurls

I've recently added Reddit to my list - the people there are hilarious and well informed.

I had never heard of hulu until this week and I haven't checked it out. The article I read said their video quality was much better than youtube and it seems to be judging from the clip you posted.

Where were you last April when I posted this?

But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
