Sweet Sensation-Take it while it's hot

Off their same titled debut album in 1988, here's a tune for the old school clubheads...It went to #57 on the Billboard top 100. These latin ladies filled dance floors for about 3-4 yrs with their catchy tunes and then like most freestyle/club just seemed to disappear. Lately there's a bit of a revival movement in this type of genre and old school artists are coming out in flocks to keep their music alive. Most of these artists were basically young latino kids who didn't have much as far as exposure as most were on independent labels who didn't have much to spend on videos as you'll see in this one.

After seeing the video yesterday it made me think of the West End Girls. The Canadian band from the early 90's.

I spent about an hour trying to find their "Not like Kissing You" with no luck.

You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
