KILL YOUR IDOLS!

@ INIGO BAR,CLAPHAM

STREETLIFE DJS & Guests

Streetlife DJs. ?.?.?. Sasha thinks they’re refreshing, Smokin’ Jo thinks they’re wicked, Steve Lawler think’s they’re mental and Mixmag thinks they’re superb. We think they’re the coolest thing the UK has exported since Patrick Stewart went galactic and if DJ Mag’s description of their being “the UK’s very own 2ManyDJs” is anything to go by, it looks like they’re set to go intersteller themselves!

Lucky for you then that KILL YOUR IDOLS!, the eclectic electric disco, London’s freshest Friday by a leap, is beaming them in for your entertainment on the 29 February at the infamous party hideout that is Inigo in Clapham!

As hot as each other, the mutual bedfellows of KILL YOUR IDOLS! and Streetlife DJs are shining proof why London is still the greatest city in the world for music and for partying. Vive La Independence! Where the Human League meets Claude Von Stroke and The Clash meets Digitalism is where you’ll find the Streetlife DJs and the crowd at Inigo with a smile on their face and their hands in the air.

A Radio One Essential Mix under their belts, releases on label greats including Postiva, Data and Whoop! and a combined 30 year DJing history supporting the world’s smallest and biggest DJs in raves, clubs, warehouses and festivals across the world including Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Deep Dish, Danny Tenaglia at the Ministry of Sound, Renaissance, Gatecrasher, Together at Turnmills, Pacha (Ibiza), Limelight (NYC) and the Liquid Rooms (Tokyo).

And all for FREE! (if you get there early enough and add your name to the list :o).

With a 4am license for those extra two hours of dancefloor jumping and support from break, electro, anything goes resident, Euan McGrath (Platform 12/Plugged) the techno, electro, funk, disco, indie blast that is KILL YOUR IDOLS! is ready to rock your world.

Welcome to the party!

    • Wait, Burning Man is going online-only? What does that even look like?
You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention.
But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
