What a new study on alcohol and fruit flies can tell us about how booze affects human sexual behavior.

The sex lives of fruit flies are making almost as many headlines these days as the Spears sisters. Last month scientists at the University of Chicago caused a stir when they said they had induced homosexual courtship in male fruit flies by changing levels of a neurochemical. And now researchers from Penn State University have looked into how a male fruit fly's sexual behavior changes when he consumes alcohol every day.

Seems like a waste of good alcohol. :dunno:

The last thing I need around here are a bunch of drunk horny fruit flies. I prefer drunk horny trailer park trash skanks. :lol:

i guess the fruit flys and nuts have moved from california to Pennsylvania :lol:

You probably are correct. Going by the fact that she is passed out drunk & topless, she is without a doubt my kind of skank. :wub:

      You could have been forgiven for missing the announcement that actual physical Burning Man has been canceled for this year, if not next. Firstly, the nonprofit Burning Man organization, known affectionately to insiders as the Borg, posted it after 5 p.m. PT Friday. That, even in the COVID-19 era, is the traditional time to push out news when you don't want much media attention. 
      But secondly, you may have missed its cancellation because the Borg is being careful not to use the C-word. The announcement was neutrally titled "The Burning Man Multiverse in 2020." Even as it offers refunds to early ticket buyers, considers layoffs and other belt-tightening measures, and can't even commit to a physical event in 2021, the Borg is making lemonade by focusing on an online-only version of Black Rock City this coming August.    Read more...
